The 220L Compost Tumbler is the quickest, easiest way to produce great quality mulch and compost. With sturdy galvanised legs, it can even stand on hard surfaces such as concrete and pavers and because it sits above ground, it doesn’t attract vermin.

Simply load the sturdy barrel of your 220L Compost Tumbler with your organic waste (meaning anything that was once alive, however keep meat, bread and dairy products out of your bin). For the best results aim for 50% kitchen food scraps (nitrogen) to 50% garden waste (carbon*), then clip the lid in place. There’s no need to layer the ingredients and no need to fork the mixture through. A robust centre breaker bar does all that for you, and evenly breaks up clumps as it turns. Rotate the barrel several times every two days to mix and aerate the compost and to speed decomposition.

Within just four weeks of adding the last ingredients, you can use the contents to mulch your garden… or leave it for a further two weeks to produce rich compost.
