The results are in! ICAW Competition Winners Announced

Thank you to all the wonderfully creative kids around Australia who entered our competition to promote International Composting Awareness Week in May. And, most importantly, thanks to the amazing SRC committee from Sackville Street Primary School in Ingleburn NSW who helped us judge more than 1,000 entries! (You can see them here in their judges’ wigs.)

As part of the competition, you named our wonderful worms:

Aussie - our apple crunching red worm who comes from ‘down under’ (2 winners)

Melony - our watermelon eating worm (10 winners)

Tiger - our celery munching worm (11 winners)

And the winners are….

Check out the names of all of our winners here.

Plus, you can see the top 30 International Composting Awareness Week colouring competition entries sent in from around Australia.

$28,000 of giveaways!

At Tumbleweed, we’re proud to announce that as a result of our International Composting Awareness Week competition, we have given compost bins and worm farms to schools around Australia valued at a massive $28,000 (RRP). We hope this contribution will encourage students to recycle and reuse their organic waste …because our earth matters!
